The Indian Ocean Lodge is on the west coast of Praslin island on Grande Anse beach the biggest beach on the island, with sand so bright it hurts your eyes yet so soft it is like warm putty to walk barefoot on. The location is just gorgeous. There are 32 rooms in eight double level units and each has a 4 poster bed, and the most incredibly big shower heads, and views that are almost unimaginable from the balconies.
The hotel whilst not 5 star is terribly clean and tidy and well maintained with friendly staff. The food in the restaurant is fish based, but you can easily eat out if you need variety, and it would be sad to go to Praslin and not go exploring.
Be aware that Praslin is terribly quiet, there is not a great deal to do, though being close to the equator you’ll be happy to enjoy the free non motorized water sports. The Seychelles are a pricey place for a holiday but this super small hotel has made it eminently possible.
